Five elementary classes share $2800 in KidStart Mini Grants! The WindsorEssex Community Foundation has awarded the first five KidStart Mini Grants totaling $2800.
KidStart is a special granting program which is offered in partnership with our local school boards. KidStart provides grants of $250-$500 to elementary school classrooms so they can undertake a special project.
Here's what the student had to say about some of their projects... "Even though we are young, we can do things to help others." "If we do these things they woud be so happy that someone remembered them." "When we fill someone's bucket, our buckets get filled too. It can make people feel like they want to fill a bucket too!"

At a reception on Monday, the Community Foundation announced grants of $51,261.68 to Windsor and Essex County organizations. These grants will make life better for parents and children in Windsor-Essex.

KINDNESS FOR ALL TO SEE! This past Friday, November 12th, Windsor and Essex County celebrated the first annual Random Act of Kindness Day. From Leamington to Windsor and Belle River to Amherstburg our citizens demonstrated their caring compassionate nature by sharing acts of kindness with those around them.

Windsor Family Credit Union Establishes $80,000 fund with Community Foundation. At their recent AGM, Beth-Ann Prince, WFCU's Manager of Marketing and Community Investment announced the establishment of the "WFCU ENDOWMENT FUND" in the amount of $80,000 that is invested with WFCU. WFCU'S investment will GROW AND ensure that future funds will be used in support of community projects that will be jointly decided upon between WFCU and Windsor Essex Community Foundation.
