The WindsorEssex Community Foundation is pleased to have participed in meetings in Detroit which were help in conjunction with the inaugural Great Lakes Week. We also encouraged attendance by local environmental groups, as well as other community foundations in the Great Lakes Watershed.

The week's activities were truly historic as they brought together the four leading government and private organizations overseeing management of the Great Lakes.  Representatives of the U.S. and Canadian governments together with a broad coalition of public and private groups highlighted efforts to implement solutions for the lakes' most pressing problems.

Thanks to a grant from the Erb Foundation, Detroit Public Television provided significant public access to the event and WECF was able to offer a Live Stream on their website.
