Donors

To build a better Windsor/Essex community, the Foundation works with donors to build legacy funds. Donors can make gifts to existing funds or establish their own fund within the Community Foundation. All donations, no matter how large or small, make a difference.

The Community Foundation Difference

Your donations benefit your community forever. All donations are pooled into funds and invested together to achieve greater returns at a lower cost. The income generated from these investments form grants that benefit registered charities in the community. Your donation is never spent - it will continue to provide meaningful financial support for generations to come.

Flexible, Affordable Giving Options

You can make a donation through an outright gift of cash, a gift of life insurance, stocks, bonds or other assets. The gift can be made during your lifetime or left to the Foundation in a bequest. Donations may be pledged over a period of time. You can decide what type of fund you want to contribute to or you can start your own fund and decide how involved you would like to be on a go-forward basis in the grant-making process.

Tax Benefits

In addition to supporting your community, your donation is also tax-deductible. You will receive a donation receipt from The WindsorEssex Community Foundation with all the information necessary for your records and for income tax purposes.
